Job Summary

Grey Soul Coffee Roasters is looking for passionate and skilled Baristas to join our café team in Fort, Mumbai.

The ideal candidate should have a genuine interest in specialty coffee, good knowledge of espresso-based beverages, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced café environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesCoffee & Beverage Preparation

- Prepare high-quality espresso-based beverages such as Espresso, Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Flat White and Mocha.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of espresso extraction, grinding, dosing and milk steaming.
- Prepare consistent and well-presented beverages according to Grey Soul's recipes and standards.
- Maintain basic latte art and milk-texturing skills.
- Follow beverage recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.
- Maintain consistency in taste, temperature and presentation.

Café Operations

- Ensure the bar station is clean, organized and fully prepared before service.
- Set up and close the bar according to Company SOPs.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, POS and other café equipment safely.
- Monitor coffee, milk, syrups and other bar inventory.
- Inform the Store Manager about stock shortages or equipment issues.
- Maintain proper storage and stock rotation.

Customer Service

- Welcome customers professionally and provide friendly service.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Understand customer preferences and recommend suitable coffee or food items.
- Handle customer requests and feedback professionally.




- Support the team in delivering an excellent café experience.

Hygiene & Food Safety

- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
- Keep the coffee bar, equipment and work areas clean throughout the shift.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures.
- Follow proper cleaning and maintenance schedules for coffee machines and grinders.

Teamwork & Discipline

- Work closely with the Store Manager, kitchen and service team.
- Support fellow team members during busy hours.
- Follow Company policies, SOPs and instructions.
- Maintain punctuality, discipline and professional conduct.
- Participate in staff training and coffee-related learning sessions.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of coffee and espresso-based beverages.
- Understanding of espresso extraction and milk steaming.
- Basic latte art skills preferred.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately during busy periods.
- Attention to detail and commitment to beverage quality.
- Team-oriented and positive attitude.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Willingness to learn and improve coffee skills.

Qualifications

- Barista certification or hospitality qualification preferred but not mandatory.
- Passion for specialty coffee and willingness to learn will be highly valued.





Experience

- 6 month - 1 year of experience as a Barista preferred.
- Freshers with good coffee knowledge and strong interest in specialty coffee may also be considered.
- Experience in a specialty coffee shop, café or premium hospitality setting is an advantage.

Working Conditions

- 9-hour shift
- 6 working days per week
- Weekly off as per Company roster.
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays and rotational shifts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced café setting.
- Work Location: In person – Fort, Mumbai
