Full Job Description

Sehaj Inc. is looking for an experienced and motivated Truck Dispatcher to join our transportation operations team. This is a work-from-home position for someone who has hands-on experience in trucking dispatch, load booking, driver coordination and day-to-day transportation operations.

The ideal candidate should understand the complete dispatch process, be comfortable working with drivers and brokers, and have the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Dispatch and coordinate trucks and drivers on a daily basis.
- Search for and book suitable loads using DAT and DAT Truck.
- Negotiate rates and communicate professionally with brokers and customers.
- Review load details, pickup and delivery requirements before booking.
- Assign loads to drivers based on truck availability, location, equipment and schedule.
- Communicate with drivers regarding pickups, deliveries, routes and load requirements.
- Track shipments and maintain regular communication with drivers throughout the trip.
- Monitor pickup and delivery appointments and ensure loads are moving according to schedule.
- Handle delays, breakdowns, appointment changes and other unexpected operational issues.
- Communicate with brokers, customers and other transportation partners.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and update load information.
- Prepare and manage emails, documents and spreadsheets related to dispatch operations.
- Use Microsoft Excel to maintain dispatch information, tracking sheets and operational records.
- Use Microsoft Outlook for professional communication and email management.
- Maintain organized records and ensure all required information is properly documented.
- Follow up on delivered loads, paperwork and other required documentation.




- Support the overall transportation operation and assist with resolving day-to-day issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Previous experience in truck dispatching or transportation operations is required.
- Strong knowledge of load booking and the trucking industry.
- Experience working with DAT / DAT Truck is strongly preferred.
- Experience communicating with drivers, brokers and customers.
- Strong understanding of pickup and delivery scheduling.
- Ability to negotiate rates and select profitable and suitable loads.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage several trucks/loads simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable work-from-home setup.

Preferred Experience

- 1–3+ years of experience in trucking dispatch.
- Experience with American trucking operations is an asset.
- Experience booking loads through DAT or similar load boards.
- Experience handling dry van, reefer, flatbed or other equipment is an asset.
