Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes, raw materials, components, and finished transformers meet defined quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry requirements. The role will involve process monitoring, inspection, documentation, testing coordination, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor quality at different stages of transformer manufacturing.
- Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and bought-out items.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of transformers.
- Coordinate routine and type/special testing as required.
- Review test reports and ensure all results meet specified acceptance criteria.
- Identify quality deviations, non-conformities, and process failures.
- Raise and track NCRs and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, and documentation.
- Support root-cause analysis for recurring quality issues.
- Conduct quality audits of manufacturing processes and suppliers.
- Work closely with Production, Testing, Design, Purchase, and Stores teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure proper calibration and availability of inspection and testing equipment.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and other applicable quality systems.
- Support customer inspections and third-party inspections when required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection,



rework, and customer complaints.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably in transformer, electrical equipment, or heavy engineering manufacturing.
- Good understanding of transformer manufacturing and testing processes.
- Knowledge of relevant IS/IEC standards and quality procedures.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with inspection instruments and testing procedures.
- Working knowledge of 8D, CAPA, RCA, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis is preferred.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Solid attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17,500.00 - ₹22,500.00 per month
