About the Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Senior Engineer with strong backend expertise to build and operate scalable services for a high-traffic, mobile-first publishing platform.

The role is full-stack but heavily focused on NestJS, TypeScript, MongoDB, Redis, asynchronous processing, APIs, caching, observability, and production reliability. You will build services consumed by web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Build modular, production-grade REST APIs using NestJS and TypeScript.
- Design backend-for-frontend APIs tailored to web and mobile application requirements.
- Design MongoDB schemas, aggregations, indexes, and queries for read-heavy, feed-style applications.
- Implement Redis caching and reliable cache invalidation when CMS content changes.
- Build asynchronous workflows using BullMQ or RabbitMQ, including retries and dead-letter queues.
- Transform headless WordPress/CMS webhooks into clean and reliable API responses.
- Implement observability using APM, structured logging, health checks, and production monitoring.
- Deploy and operate services behind AWS load balancers.
- Own features through architecture, development, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Troubleshoot production issues using logs, APM, metrics, and other operational signals.




- Work with frontend and mobile engineers to ensure reliable publish-to-client content delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong production experience with NestJS and TypeScript.
- Strong experience with MongoDB and Redis in production.
- Experience building and operating REST APIs under real production traffic.
- Experience designing MongoDB schemas and indexing strategies for read-heavy workloads.
- Hands-on experience with Redis caching and cache invalidation.
- Experience with asynchronous job queues such as BullMQ or RabbitMQ.
- Strong understanding of the Node.js event loop and application behaviour under load.
- Experience with APM, structured logging, monitoring, and production incident diagnosis.
- Experience integrating with headless WordPress/CMS content pipelines.
- Ability to understand the needs of web and mobile API consumers.

Ideal Candidate

You should have experience beyond CRUD-based backend development and be comfortable owning concurrency, caching, queues, production incidents, and high-volume content delivery.

Work Workplace

This is a remote contract role involving close collaboration with frontend, mobile, DevOps, QA, and editorial teams to ensure reliable content delivery from publishing through to the end user.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
