Job Summary

The MEP Technician will be responsible for the operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems throughout the resort. The role requires practical technical knowledge, quick response to maintenance requests, and the ability to ensure all building services operate safely, efficiently, and without interruption.

Key Responsibilities1. Mechanical Maintenance

- Inspect, operate, and maintain mechanical equipment and systems.
- Assist with HVAC, pumps, motors, compressors, ventilation, and other mechanical equipment.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Identify mechanical faults and attend breakdowns promptly.
- Support the HVAC team during major maintenance and emergency requirements.

2. Electrical Maintenance

- Carry out basic electrical inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain lighting systems, switches, sockets, DBs, motors, and electrical equipment.
- Attend electrical complaints from guest rooms and operational departments.
- Check electrical connections and identify unsafe conditions.
- Assist qualified electricians with major electrical maintenance work.

3. Plumbing Maintenance

- Inspect and maintain water supply and drainage systems.
- Attend leakage, blockage, low-water-pressure, and plumbing complaints.
- Maintain washrooms, guest rooms, kitchens, restaurants, staff areas, and other resort facilities.
- Assist with pumps, water tanks, valves, pipelines, and drainage systems.
- Carry out emergency plumbing repairs when required.

4. Resort / Hospitality Operations

- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B;, Kitchen, Spa, Rooms, and other departments.
- Attend guest-room maintenance complaints with professionalism and minimum disruption to guests.
- Maintain the comfort, safety, and functionality of guest and public areas.
- Support engineering operations during events, functions, and high-occupancy periods.

5. Preventive Maintenance

- Follow the resort's preventive maintenance schedule.




- Conduct regular inspection of MEP equipment and building services.
- Maintain maintenance checklists and equipment records.
- Report equipment defects and potential failures to the Engineering Manager.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is completed within the scheduled time.

6. Emergency Maintenance

- Respond immediately to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or other facility emergencies.
- Support the engineering team during breakdowns and urgent guest complaints.
- Assist in identifying the root cause of recurring problems.

7. Safety & Compliance

- Follow all resort safety procedures and engineering standards.
- Use appropriate PPE and safety equipment.
- Maintain safe working conditions in plant rooms, electrical rooms, workshops, and service areas.
- Follow proper procedures when working with electrical systems, machinery, water systems, and tools.

8. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain daily maintenance and breakdown reports.
- Record completed preventive maintenance activities.
- Report spare-parts requirements to the Engineering Supervisor / Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment faults, repairs, and replacements.

Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma / Technical Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, or MEP-related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant technical experience.
- Experience in a hotel, resort, hospital, commercial building, or similar facility is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of MEP systems and building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues.

- Preventive maintenance procedures
- Building Management System (BMS) – basic knowledge preferred

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
