Job Responsibilities

- Operate DRO (Digital Readout) Lathe machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, grooving, drilling and other machining operations as per drawings.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and machining symbols.
- Handle non-standard and customized job machining with minimum supervision.
- Set and operate machines for different job sizes and materials.
- Perform machining of Cast Nylon, MS (Mild Steel) and other engineering materials.
- Select suitable cutting tools, speeds, feeds and machining parameters based on material and job requirements.
- Carry out accurate measurements using Vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Check finished components for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
- Perform basic machine setting, tool changing and job alignment.
- Maintain proper 5S practices in the machining area.
- Follow safety procedures,



production schedules and quality standards.
- Identify machining issues and make necessary adjustments to achieve required dimensions.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and report machine/tool problems to the supervisor.
- Maintain production records and ensure timely completion of assigned jobs.

Required Skills

- Positive knowledge of conventional lathe and DRO lathe operation.
- Strong understanding of non-standard job machining.
- Practical knowledge of machining Cast Nylon and MS materials.
- Ability to work independently from engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.
- Willingness to work in rotational/general shifts.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
