QA Engineer – Manual & Automation Testing

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong experience in both Manual and Automation Testing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, reliability, and performance of our software applications.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and executing test cases, identifying and tracking defects, performing API and database testing, and developing automated test scripts. You will work closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other QA engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Design, execute, and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
- Perform manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, system, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web and/or mobile applications.
- Build and maintain scalable and reusable automation test frameworks.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar tools.
- Perform database testing and validate data using SQL queries.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using tools such as Jira.
- Re-test defects after fixes and perform appropriate regression testing.
- Analyze test results and provide clear QA reports and status updates.
- Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with developers to investigate, reproduce, and resolve issues.
- Maintain QA documentation, test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
- Identify opportunities to improve test coverage,



testing processes, and automation efficiency.
- Execute automated regression suites and analyze failures.
- Contribute to CI/CD-based automated testing where applicable.
- Ensure software releases meet defined quality standards before deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle.
- Solid knowledge of test case design, test execution, and defect management.
- Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
- Programming/scripting experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with Jira or other defect/test management tools.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

- Experience designing automation frameworks using Page Object Model (POM) or similar patterns.
- Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
- Knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD tools.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cross-browser and responsive testing.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter is a plus.
- Experience with mobile application testing is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
