Job Summary

We are looking for a Design & Estimation Engineer with 2–4 years of relevant experience in structural steel fabrication, industrial projects, or estimation. The candidate will be responsible for preparing project estimates, BOQs, material take-offs, reading engineering drawings, and supporting the design and project execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret structural, architectural, and fabrication drawings.
- Prepare accurate project cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and detailed material take-offs.
- Calculate requirements for structural steel, roofing materials, and other project materials.
- Calculate total structural weight based on drawings and site measurements.
- Optimize material consumption and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, production, and project execution teams.
- Review project specifications and ensure estimates comply with required standards.
- Maintain estimation records, BOQs, material calculations,



and project documentation.
- Support the project team with technical and estimation-related inputs.
- Prepare and maintain estimation reports using MS Excel.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and estimation.
- Ability to read and understand engineering/fabrication drawings.
- Experience in BOQ preparation and material estimation.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Understanding of structural steel, roofing, and fabrication processes.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Education

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

- 2–4 years of relevant experience in:
- Structural steel fabrication
- Industrial projects
- Steel estimation
- Quantity surveying / BOQ preparation
- Engineering estimation
