Job Description for Staff Nurse - Dialysis Unit

Salary: ₹ 15,000 - ₹ 20,000 per month

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Job Summary

To provide secure, compassionate, and quality nursing care to patients undergoing haemodialysis, ensuring proper patient assessment, monitoring, infection prevention, medication administration, emergency management, accurate documentation, and coordination with the nephrologist and dialysis team.

Key Responsibilities· Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis, including vital signs, general condition, weight, and fluid status.· Monitor patients continuously throughout the dialysis procedure and promptly identify any complications.· Assist in managing patients with complex medical conditions as per hospital protocols.· Check vascular access sites for signs of infection, bleeding, swelling, or other complications.· Monitor for dialysis-related complications such as hypotension, hypertension, cramps, nausea, vomiting, allergic reactions, bleeding, fever,



and other adverse events.

· Recognize early signs of clinical deterioration and immediately inform the treating doctor.

· Assist with CPR and emergency resuscitation as required.

· Ensure emergency drugs, equipment, oxygen, and other essential supplies are readily available.

· Strictly follow hospital infection-control policies and standard precautions.

· Maintain patient records, nursing notes, checklists, and other departmental records as required.

· Coordinate effectively with nephrologists, medical officers, dialysis technicians, nursing staff, and other departments.

· Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, dialysis protocols, and patient-safety practices.

Required Qualifications

· B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.

· GNC Certificate.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
