Job Description

· Responsible for performing the technical service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of KOEL Engines, and associated mechanical and electrical systems provided to industrial and Powergen applications (Construction Equipment, Railways, etc.). The Service Engineer operates as the frontline technical expert, ensuring high-quality workmanship, excellent customer service, compliance with KOEL standards, and minimal equipment downtime in both workshop and field environments.

Roles and Responsibilities

Technical Service Execution

· Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM) & Breakdown (BD), Complaints and overhauls on KOEL engines and Gensets according to the manufacturer's specifications and checklists.

· Execute complex diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures in engines and control systems.

· Conduct repairs, component replacements, tuning, and testing (load trials) to restore equipment to optimal operating condition.

· Ensure the use of correct special tools and calibrated equipment for all precision jobs.

Field Operations and Customer Interaction

· Respond promptly and efficiently to breakdown service requests at customer sites (field service), ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.

· Clearly communicate the nature of the fault, the required repairs, and the job status to the customer and the Service Co-Ordinator.

· Ensure all work is performed safely and adheres to site-specific regulations and the Safety systems and standards.





· Ensure effective Co-ordination with the Back-End service teams (Parts, Logistics) to ensure the right components are available for the job.

Documentation and Compliance

· Accurately complete and close Service Request/Job Cards in the designated system Sales force (e.g., e-FSR).

· Document all work performed, parts consumed, time spent, and observations related to the engine/Genset condition for warranty and claims purposes.

· Attend required technical training sessions provided by the Training Manager or KOEL to continuously upgrade technical expertise.

Desired Candidate

Qualification:

ITI/ Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Electrical

Experience:

Min 2 Years of hands-on experience in servicing and repairing Diesel Engines, Diesel Gensets, or heavy industrial machinery and Control Panel

Functional Expertise:

o Solid knowledge of Diesel Engine systems (fuel system, cooling, lubrication, air intake/exhaust) and associated Genset control panels and power electronics.

o Proficiency in using technical manuals, diagnostic software, and hand-held diagnostic tools.

o Proven ability to perform major overhauls and component repairs.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
