We're Hiring: Editorial Writer | Entertainment Content, Copywriting & Editing | Remote – India | 5+ Years

Techwurkz is hiring an experienced Editorial Writer for a leading global entertainment organization. This role is ideal for professionals with strong film & TV writing/editing experience, excellent English, and deep knowledge of Indian entertainment and regional content.

Position Details

✔ Role: Creative Editorial Writer
✔ Experience: 5+ Years
✔ Location: Remote – India
✔ Work Model: Remote; occasional office visits
✔ Duration: 6 Months
✔ Employment Type: Contract

What You'll Do

✔ Write and edit English-language synopses for Indian movies and TV/streaming content.
✔ Develop creative product copy including collection names, row titles, email copy, push notifications, and UI copy.
✔ Ensure content is accurate, inclusive, culturally nuanced, and engaging for diverse audiences.
✔ Maintain editorial guidelines, style guides, documentation, and workflows.
✔ Review and provide constructive feedback on content produced by external writing partners.
✔ Collaborate with editorial, merchandising, marketing, and content teams to align copy with market needs and schedules.
✔ Research titles and quickly synthesize information from multiple sources.
✔ Manage multiple projects while consistently meeting quality and deadlines.

What We're Looking For

✔ Strong professional English writing and editing skills.
✔ Deep knowledge of Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu entertainment and Indian film/TV landscapes.
✔ Understanding of India's social and cultural landscape.




✔ Experience writing or editing synopses, film/TV reviews, articles, blogs, or feature stories.
✔ Experience creating short-form product copy, taglines, push notifications, UI or email content.
✔ Strong research, proofreading, editing, and attention-to-detail skills.
✔ Familiarity with AP Style or equivalent editorial standards.
✔ Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
✔ Experience working with external writers/vendors is an advantage.
