About KPCIRC
KPCIRC (Kwatra Precision Cancer Institute & Research Centre) is a pioneering, multidisciplinary institution dedicated to advancing precision oncology, clinical genomics, and computational biology. By integrating cutting-edge AI in healthcare, state-of-the-art diagnostics, and personalized clinical care, we bridge the gap between advanced scientific research and patient outcomes. Our mission is to provide evidence-based, patient-centric clinical care tailored to the unique genetic and molecular profile of each individual.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly empathetic, organized, and clinically knowledgeable Patient Navigator to serve as a critical bridge between our patients, their families, and our multidisciplinary clinical teams.
Cancer care today—especially precision oncology—can be highly complex. The ideal candidate will guide patients through this landscape, from initial genomic profiling and diagnosis to targeted treatments and survivorship. You will empower patients by educating them about their clinical pathways, coordinating care seamlessly across diagnostic labs and clinical centers, and eliminating barriers to accessing world-class oncology care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Advocacy & Education
- Act as the primary, trusted point of contact for patients and their families, ensuring they fully understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and the role of precision medicine in their care.
- Translate complex medical, genomic, and computational biology terminology into accessible, clear language for patients.
- Provide continuous emotional support, recognizing the distress associated with a cancer diagnosis, and proactively facilitate referrals to counseling, nutritional, or psychosocial support services.
2.
Care Coordination & Navigation
- Seamlessly guide patients through the KPCIRC healthcare ecosystem, scheduling and coordinating appointments for genomic testing, advanced imaging, multidisciplinary tumor board consultations, and therapies.
- Liaise closely with oncologists, genetic counselors, computational biologists, diagnostic labs, and nursing staff to ensure a unified, timely, and holistic approach to patient care.
- Identify and mitigate barriers to care (financial, logistical, linguistic, or administrative) and connect patients with relevant financial aid, insurance support, NGOs, or community resources.
3. Clinical & Administrative Operations
- Track patient progress along the entire care continuum, ensuring strict adherence to individualized precision oncology treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records within our CRM and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, adhering to strict healthcare compliance and data privacy standards.
- Assist the administrative teams in securing insurance pre-authorizations and coordinating with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) for specialized genomic tests and targeted therapies.
4. Clinical Trial & Research Support
- Educate eligible patients about ongoing oncology clinical trials and research initiatives at KPCIRC.
- Guide interested candidates through the trial enrollment and informed consent process, acting as a liaison between the patient and the clinical research coordinators.
- Gather patient feedback and contribute to internal process improvement initiatives to elevate the patient experience.

- Knowledge Base: Strong foundational understanding of medical terminology, cancer treatments, and the Indian healthcare/insurance ecosystem. Familiarity with genomics, molecular biology, or personalized medicine is a significant advantage.
- Core Competencies:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a deeply empathetic, patient-first mindset.
