Anesthesia Technician — Job Description

Job Summary:
An Anesthesia Technician assists anesthesiologists and anesthesia teams before, during, and after surgical procedures by preparing anesthesia equipment, supplies, medications, and the operating room.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare anesthesia machines, ventilators, monitors, and other equipment before procedures.
- Check anesthesia equipment for proper functioning and safety.
- Prepare breathing circuits, airway devices, syringes, IV supplies, and other required items.
- Assist the anesthesiologist during induction, maintenance, and recovery.
- Maintain and sterilize reusable anesthesia equipment according to hospital protocols.
- Ensure adequate stock of anesthesia drugs and consumables.
- Clean, disinfect, and organize anesthesia work areas.
- Assist with emergency airway and resuscitation equipment when required.




- Monitor and maintain inventory of anesthesia supplies.
- Report faulty equipment and arrange repairs or replacement.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital procedures.
- Assist with transferring and preparing patients as directed by the clinical team.

Qualifications:

- Diploma/Degree in Anesthesia Technology / Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology or a related field.
- Relevant clinical or hospital experience is an advantage.
- Positive knowledge of anesthesia equipment and basic patient-care procedures.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and emergency-response skills.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month

- Anesthesia Technician: 3 years (Required)
