Join Waveline Sports — the Master Franchise in India for the Michael Phelps Swimming Program. We operate 33+ centres across Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Indore, and Kolkata, and we're hiring Lifeguards.

This is the most important safety role on the pool deck. You are the single person between a swimmer in distress and a serious incident. We hire only candidates who take this responsibility seriously.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Maintain active and continuous visual surveillance of the pool during all operating hours
- Enforce pool safety rules — no running on deck, no diving in shallow ends, no unsupervised entry by children
- Respond immediately to any emergency: water rescue, first aid, CPR, calling for medical help
- Conduct routine safety checks: pool water clarity, deck cleanliness, equipment placement, emergency exits
- Verify rescue equipment is in working condition daily — rescue tubes, ring buoys, reaching poles, first aid kit, oxygen kit
- Assist coaches with batch management — ensure swimmer count matches before and after each session
- Maintain incident log — any near-miss, minor injury, or rescue must be documented
- Coordinate with Centre Manager on safety reporting and audits

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Valid Lifeguard Certification from a recognised body: Red Cross / YMCA / Royal Life Saving Society / Indian Lifesaving Federation / Ellis & Associates / Star Aquatics
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification (mandatory)
- Solid swimming ability — must be able to swim 200m in under 5 minutes, demonstrate all four strokes, and perform a deep-water rescue




- 1+ year of lifeguarding experience preferred (freshers with valid certifications will also be considered)
- Alert, focused personality — comfortable with long periods of visual surveillance
- Calm under pressure — must be able to act decisively in an emergency
- Fluent in Hindi; English a plus
- Physically fit, no medical conditions that affect quick response
- Punctual — pool operations start at 5:30 AM

WHAT WE OFFER

- Fixed Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹19,000/month based on experience and certifications

WORKING HOURS

- Split shifts
- 6 days a week
- Weekend working mandatory (peak swimmer hours)
