We are looking for a skilled and responsible Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The candidate will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure smooth and safe plant operations.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of mechanical maintenance, basic welding and fabrication, and basic troubleshooting and repairing of portable power tools.

Responsibilities:

- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Inspect machinery regularly and identify mechanical faults, abnormal noise, vibration, leakage, and wear.
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors, valves, bearings, belts, chains, couplings, shafts, and other mechanical equipment.
- Carry out dismantling, assembly, installation, alignment, and servicing of mechanical equipment.
- Replace and repair worn or damaged mechanical components.
- Perform basic lubrication and servicing of machinery.
- Assist with equipment installation and commissioning.
- Perform basic welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication work as required.
- Have basic knowledge of welding equipment and safe welding practices.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs of portable power tools and hand tools.
- Maintain and repair tools such as grinders, drilling machines, cutting machines, and other workshop equipment.
- Use hand tools and portable tools safely and correctly.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and breakdown reports.




- Coordinate with the production team to reduce machine downtime.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete assigned maintenance work on time.
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and permit-to-work systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance/workshop area.

Requirements

- ITI / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Good practical knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication work.
- Basic knowledge of portable power tool repairing and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of bearings, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, belts, chains, couplings, and other mechanical components.
- Ability to use common hand tools and maintenance tools.
- Basic ability to understand mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
