Design Engineer – Castings & Forgings | Bangalore

AltEdge Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Design & Drafting Engineer to join our Engineering team in Bangalore.

Location: Bangalore, India

Experience: 5–10 years

CTC: Up to ₹12 LPA

Employment: Full-time

Department: Engineering – Design & Drafting

What You’ll Do

* Design and detail 3D models, GA drawings and manufacturing drawings for castings and forgings.

* Work on sand casting, investment casting, die casting, open-die and closed-die forgings.

* Apply DFM/DFC principles, including draft angles, parting lines, fillets, wall thickness, machining allowances and shrinkage.

* Interpret customer specifications, 2D/3D data and GD&T;, and convert them into supplier-ready drawings.

* Support tooling reviews and coordinate with casting/forging suppliers.

* Work closely with Supplier Quality, Sourcing, Program Management and customer engineering teams.

* Manage BOMs, drawing revisions, ECR/ECNs and engineering documentation.

* Support NPI, PPAP/APQP and supplier manufacturing activities.

What We’re Looking For

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering or related field.





* 5+ years of hands-on experience in casting and/or forging component design and drafting.

* Strong OEM experience, preferably in automotive, industrial, off-highway or heavy engineering.

* Expert-level SolidWorks experience in 3D modelling, detailing and GD&T.;

* Working knowledge of CATIA and Creo/Pro-E.

* Strong understanding of casting and forging processes and their design constraints.

* Hands-on experience with GD&T;, tolerance stack-up and engineering drawing standards.

* Valuable communication skills in English and Hindi.
