Summary:
We are seeking an experienced MATLAB Developer to lead model-based development for BCM application software and automotive body electronics features. This role involves MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow model development, requirements interpretation, simulation, debugging, auto-code generation support, reviews, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead development, enhancement, and maintenance of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow models for BCM application software and automotive body electronics features.
- Analyze system and software requirements and translate them into robust model-based design components, control logic, state machines, and reusable model libraries.
- Design and implement BCM functions such as lighting, wiper, washer, central locking, power windows, mirrors, horn, and body access features using MATLAB and Simulink.
- Perform model simulation, debugging, peer reviews, unit-level verification, and functional validation using Model-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop environments.
- Support auto-code generation, generated code review, integration support, build issue analysis, and defect resolution with embedded software teams.
- Ensure model quality through adherence to modelling guidelines, naming conventions, reusable architecture, signal consistency,
data type usage, and review checklists.
- Guide junior developers on model implementation, debugging, model reviews, requirement interpretation, and defect closure activities.
- Coordinate with requirements, architecture, integration, validation, quality, and customer teams to clarify functional behavior and close technical open points.
Skilled & Technical Skills:
- Overall 7 to 9 years of experience in automotive embedded software development, MATLAB/Simulink model-based development, or control software development.
- Strong hands-on experience in MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, model development, model debugging, simulation, and model-based software design.
- Experience in developing control logic, state machines, truth tables, reusable subsystems, signal routing, data dictionaries, model interfaces, and calibration parameters.
- Good understanding of automotive ECU software development lifecycle, preferably for BCM, body electronics, chassis, powertrain, ADAS, or similar vehicle domains.
- Working experience with Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, unit testing, simulation-based verification, and requirement-based test case development.
- Experience with automatic code generation, Embedded Coder, TargetLink, MISRA C expectations, and generated code integration is desirable.
- Working knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, UDS diagnostics, ECU communication concepts, vehicle signals, and signal database usage.
- Exposure to ASPICE, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR concepts, requirements traceability, configuration management, defect lifecycle, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, DOORS, Polarion, Git, or SVN.
