Art Gallery Sales Manager

About the Role

AnYahh!! Art is looking for a smart, confident and highly presentable Art Gallery Sales Manager who can engage with clients, understand their requirements and successfully convert enquiries and gallery visitors into sales.

This is a client-facing sales position, and we are specifically looking for someone who is an excellent conversationalist, polished in their communication and comfortable interacting with premium clientele, homeowners, collectors, interior designers, architects and corporate clients.

Prior experience in art, luxury retail, interiors, furniture, décor, real estate, jewellery, hospitality or another premium/luxury sales environment will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage walk-in clients and enquiries at the gallery and actively drive artwork sales.

* Understand a client’s space, aesthetic preferences and budget and recommend suitable artworks accordingly.

* Present and explain artworks, artists, mediums, styles and concepts confidently.

* Build relationships with existing and prospective clients and generate repeat business.

* Follow up consistently with leads through calls, WhatsApp and other communication channels.

* Maintain a strong sales pipeline and work towards monthly sales targets.

* Coordinate with interior designers, architects, homeowners, corporates and other potential buyers.

* Assist clients with artwork selection, sizing, placement, framing and overall presentation.

* Maintain knowledge of the gallery’s artists, artworks, pricing and inventory.

* Ensure that every visitor receives a professional, warm and premium gallery experience.

* Maintain client records and provide regular updates on enquiries, follow-ups and conversions to management.

Candidate Requirements





* Strong sales ability is essential.

* Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

* Confident, articulate and naturally conversational.

* Well-groomed, presentable and comfortable dealing with premium clientele.

* Strong interpersonal, negotiation and closing skills.

* Previous experience in a client-facing sales role is required.

* Previous experience selling artwork or working with an art gallery is highly preferred.

* Candidates from luxury retail, interiors, furniture, décor, hospitality or other premium sales backgrounds may also be considered.

* Knowledge and understanding of art is preferred; however, candidates with exceptional sales ability and a genuine interest in learning about art may also be considered.

* Should be proactive with follow-ups rather than relying solely on walk-in customers.

* Comfortable working with sales targets and taking ownership of conversions.

We are not looking for someone who simply manages the gallery floor. We want a sales-driven personality who knows how to start conversations, understand a client’s taste, build trust and close a sale.

The ideal candidate should be able to make clients feel comfortable while confidently guiding them towards purchasing the right artwork for their space.
