Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Collections Manager to lead and manage the collections function. The role involves overseeing collection activities, managing the collections team, driving recovery performance, monitoring portfolio quality, and ensuring achievement of monthly collection targets.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the collections team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly recovery targets.

* Develop and implement effective collection and recovery strategies.

* Monitor collection performance, productivity, and team KPIs.

* Allocate accounts and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding payments.

* Handle escalated customer cases and support the team in resolving payment-related issues.

* Track overdue accounts, ageing buckets, collection efficiency, and recovery trends.

* Prepare and analyse collection reports and performance dashboards.

* Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer and account-related issues.

* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to collection executives.





* Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and collection guidelines.

* Identify gaps in collection processes and recommend corrective actions.

* Maintain accurate records of collection activities and recovery status.

Requirements

* 5-8 years of experience in collections/recovery management.

* Prior experience in NBFCs, banks, fintech, education finance, or similar industries will be preferred.

* Proven experience in managing and leading a collections team.

* Strong understanding of collection strategies, ageing, recovery, and portfolio management.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

* Proficiency in MS Excel and collection/CRM systems.

* Ability to work under pressure and achieve business targets.

* MBA or MCA preferred.
