About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to prepare accurate technical drawings, layouts, and production drawings for boat and yacht manufacturing projects. The candidate will work closely with the design, naval architecture, production, and project teams to ensure drawings are accurate, practical, and suitable for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings and production drawings using AutoCAD or similar drafting software.

Develop drawings for boat structures, components, interiors, furniture, fittings, and fabrication requirements.

Convert design concepts and 3D models into accurate manufacturing drawings.

Prepare dimensions, sections, elevations, details, and assembly drawings.

Review drawings for accuracy, measurements, material specifications, and manufacturing feasibility.

Coordinate with the Naval Architect, Designers, Engineers, and Production Team.

Make revisions to drawings based on design changes and production requirements.

Ensure drawings follow company standards and project specifications.

Prepare cutting lists, material details, and fabrication drawings wherever required.

Visit the factory/workshop when required to understand production requirements and verify measurements.

Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.

Ensure the latest approved drawings are issued to the production team.





Assist in resolving technical and dimensional issues during manufacturing.

Coordinate with vendors/fabricators when required for technical drawing clarification.

Ensure all drawings are completed within project timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.

Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Draftsman, preferably in manufacturing, marine, fabrication, engineering, or construction.

Strong knowledge of AutoCAD is essential.

Knowledge of Rhino, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or other 3D modelling software will be an advantage.

Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.

Good understanding of dimensions, measurements, materials, and fabrication methods.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work independently as well as as part of a team.

Willingness to visit the factory/workshop for measurements and production coordination.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in boat/yacht manufacturing, FRP/composite construction, carpentry, marine interiors, fabrication, or engineering production will be preferred.

Ability to resolve drawing-related production issues promptly.
