Mother Teacher / Primary Teacher | Full-Time | BangaloreJob Overview

We are hiring an experienced and dedicated Mother Teacher / Primary Teacher to support the academic, social, emotional, and overall development of primary school students.

The ideal candidate should be patient, caring, organized, and capable of creating a safe, engaging, and positive classroom workplace. The teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, classroom instruction, student assessment, parent communication, and day-to-day pastoral care.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Curriculum

- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons based on the school curriculum
- Teach and integrate subjects such as EVS, English, Mathematics, and Literacy
- Use engaging teaching methods including storytelling, educational activities, experiential learning, and multimedia
- Prepare worksheets, charts, teaching materials, and supplementary resources
- Organize classroom activities and curriculum-related learning experiences
- Encourage independent thinking, creativity, and positive values among students

Student Development and Assessment

- Monitor and assess individual student progress
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, assessments, and student performance
- Provide academic support and additional guidance where required
- Prepare student progress reports and assessment records
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and development
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings and other parent interactions
- Work collaboratively with support and co-curricular teams to address student learning needs

Classroom Management

- Maintain a safe, positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Establish and maintain classroom discipline in accordance with school policies
- Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, assembly, dispersal, and other school activities




- Serve as the homeroom/class teacher and support the day-to-day pastoral care of students
- Model appropriate behaviour, communication, and school values

School Responsibilities

- Attend staff, departmental, and other school meetings
- Participate in school events, assemblies, sports days, annual days, STEM and literary activities
- Support extracurricular and co-curricular activities
- Perform substitution duties when required
- Participate in examination invigilation and evaluation activities
- Attend professional development workshops and training programs
- Maintain regular attendance and complete assigned administrative responsibilities
- Complete required appraisal and professional development documentation
- Contribute to school-wide academic initiatives and improvement activities

Qualifications and Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Education / relevant teaching qualification
- Prior experience as a Primary Teacher / Mother Teacher preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and primary education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good storytelling and classroom engagement skills
- Ability to manage young learners with patience and care
- Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Patient, friendly, reliable, and student-focused approach
