Job Summary

Grey Soul Coffee Roasters is looking for friendly, confident and well-groomed Hosts to be the first point of contact for our guests.

The Host will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing seating, handling reservations, coordinating with the service team, and ensuring every guest receives a warm and professional experience from the moment they enter the café.

Key Responsibilities Guest Welcome & Reception

- Warmly welcome and greet every guest entering the café.
- Create a friendly and positive first impression.
- Understand guest requirements and assist them with seating.
- Manage the waiting area and seating flow during busy hours.
- Assist guests with basic information about the café, menu and offerings.

Table & Seating Management

- Manage table allocation and ensure efficient seating.
- Coordinate with the service team regarding table availability.
- Monitor table status and ensure smooth guest movement.
- Handle reservations and special seating requests professionally.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area.

Customer Service

- Provide excellent and personalized guest service.
- Understand customer preferences and assist wherever required.
- Handle basic customer queries and concerns professionally.
- Escalate complaints or service issues to the Store Manager when required.
- Ensure guests feel welcomed and valued throughout their visit.

Team Coordination

- Coordinate closely with the Store Manager, Baristas and Service Team.




- Communicate guest requirements accurately to the relevant team.
- Support the team during busy periods.
- Assist with basic service duties when required.

Café Standards & Hygiene

- Maintain excellent personal grooming and professional appearance.
- Keep the reception and waiting area clean and organized.
- Follow all Company SOPs, hygiene standards and service procedures.
- Ensure professional and courteous conduct at all times.

Guest Experience & Brand Representation

- Represent Grey Soul Coffee Roasters professionally.
- Build positive relationships with regular guests.
- Encourage customers to explore the café's coffee and food offerings.
- Support the team in creating a memorable guest experience.

Required Skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Good presence of mind and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy hours.
- Good coordination and teamwork skills.
- Professional grooming and presentation.
- Basic knowledge of café/restaurant operations preferred.

Qualifications

- Minimum 12th pass; hospitality or hotel management qualification preferred.
- Good command of spoken English and Hindi.
- Additional languages will be an advantage.

Experience





- 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred in a café, restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills and a robust customer-service attitude may also be considered.

Working Conditions

- 9-hour shift
- 6 working days per week
- Weekly off as per Company roster.
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays and rotational shifts.
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment.
- Work Location: In person – Fort, Mumbai
