Milling Operator

Experience

5–7 Years

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant technical field.
- Relevant experience in milling machine operation.

Job Responsibilities

- Operate and set conventional/manual milling machines for SPM and precision machine components.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and machining dimensions.
- Perform milling, slotting, drilling, tapping, and other machining operations.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures.
- Check dimensions using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Inspect components during and after machining.
- Identify machining defects and carry out necessary corrections.
- Maintain machines, tools, and work areas in good condition.




- Follow safety procedures and production schedules.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of conventional milling machine operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of machining tolerances and measurements.
- Experience in SPM / automation component machining is preferred.
- Good knowledge of cutting tools and machining processes.
- Ability to work independently and meet production targets.
