System Administrator – CCTV & IT Support

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible System Administrator – CCTV & IT Support to manage our organization's computer systems, network infrastructure, CCTV surveillance systems, and day-to-day technical support.
The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of CCTV installation and maintenance, DVR/NVR configuration, IP cameras, computer hardware/software troubleshooting, LAN/networking, Windows systems, and general IT infrastructure management.
The candidate should be capable of independently diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and CCTV-related technical issues.
Key ResponsibilitiesCCTV Installation & Management
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV cameras and surveillance systems.
- Handle installation of IP Cameras, HD/Analog Cameras, Dome Cameras, Bullet Cameras, etc.
- Configure and manage DVR/NVR systems.
- Configure camera recording, playback, storage, motion detection, and backup.
- Configure remote CCTV viewing through mobile applications and computers.
- Troubleshoot camera connectivity, video loss, recording failure, storage issues, and network-related CCTV problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance of CCTV systems.
- Check CCTV cabling, connectors, power supplies, PoE switches, and related equipment.
- Maintain proper documentation of CCTV cameras, IP addresses, locations, and equipment.
- Ensure CCTV systems remain operational and recordings are available when required.
System Administration & IT Support
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, UPS, and other IT equipment.
- Install and configure Windows operating systems, drivers, applications, antivirus, and other required software.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems.
- Troubleshoot system slowdowns, boot problems, OS errors, application errors, and peripheral issues.
- Perform hardware upgrades such as RAM, SSD/HDD,
power supply, etc.
- Maintain computer systems and ensure proper functioning of all IT equipment.
- Provide technical support to staff and users.
Networking
- Configure and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, access points, and network devices.
- Have practical knowledge of TCP/IP, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS and basic network troubleshooting.
- Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity between computers, CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR and other devices.
- Identify and resolve network connectivity and internet-related issues.
- Maintain proper network documentation and IP address records.
IT Infrastructure & Security
- Monitor the health and availability of computer systems and network devices.
- Maintain regular backups of significant data where required.
- Install and maintain antivirus and basic endpoint security.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access where applicable.
- Maintain proper records of IT assets and equipment.
- Ensure proper data and system security practices are followed.
- Coordinate with Internet Service Providers and external IT/CCTV vendors when required.
Required Skills
- Strong practical knowledge of CCTV installation and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of DVR/NVR configuration and management.
- Knowledge of IP Camera and network-based CCTV systems.
- Good knowledge of computer hardware troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN and basic networking.
- Knowledge of routers, switches, Wi-Fi and network troubleshooting.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity problems independently.
- Good knowledge of printer and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of data backup and system security.
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to technical problems.
Preferred Technical Knowledge
Candidates having experience with the following will be preferred:
- Hikvision / CP Plus / Dahua or similar CCTV systems
- DVR / NVR
- IP Camera configuration
- PoE Switches
- Cat5e/Cat6 cabling
- RJ45 termination
- Router and Switch configuration
- Windows 10/11
- Computer hardware assembly and troubleshooting
- SSD/HDD installation and replacement
- Printer troubleshooting
- LAN/Wi-Fi configuration
- Remote CCTV monitoring
- Basic server administration
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Electronics, or a related field.
Relevant technical certification or equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
Experience
2–5 years of relevant experience in System Administration, IT Support, Computer Hardware & Networking, CCTV Installation/Maintenance, or a similar role.
Candidates with strong hands-on technical skills may be considered based on their expertise.

- Willing to visit different areas of the premises for CCTV and networking troubleshooting.

Key Requirement
This is a hands-on technical position. Candidates must have practical experience in CCTV installation/configuration and computer hardware/software troubleshooting. Candidates with only theoretical knowledge of System Administration or CCTV will not be preferred.
