To support the pharmacist in day-to-day pharmacy operations by handling customers, managing medicines and inventory, billing, and maintaining store hygiene while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and company procedures.
Qualification: D.Pharm, B.Pharm or Any Degree
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service
- Greet customers politely and understand their requirements.
- Guide customers to the correct counter or pharmacist for prescriptions.
- Assist customers in locating OTC products and wellness items.
- Handle basic customer queries and escalate medical questions to the pharmacist.
2. Prescription Support
- Receive prescriptions and forward them to the pharmacist for verification.
- Pack medicines as per pharmacist’s instructions.
- Ensure correct labeling and quantity before billing.
3. Billing & Cash Handling
- Generate bills using POS/software systems.
- Handle cash, UPI, and card payments accurately.
- Maintain daily cash balance and handover to the authorized person.
4. Inventory & Stock Management
- Arrange medicines and products as per category and expiry date (FIFO/FEFO).
- Check stock levels and inform the pharmacist/manager for re-ordering.
- Assist in stock receiving, verification, and shelving.
- Remove expired or damaged products as per company procedure.
5. Store Maintenance & Hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness of shelves, counters, and store area.
- Ensure medicines are stored at proper temperature and conditions.
- Follow safety and storage guidelines for medicines.
