RESPONSIBILITIES

- The position is responsible for sourcing and recruiting qualified crew according to the requirements of the Customers, in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.

- The position maintains general monitoring of crew requirements and provide benchmarking information as needed.

DUTIES

- Source qualified applicants to meet customer crew requirements.

- Screen and assess candidates based on customer requirements.

- Collect and upload required documents (e.g. Seaman’s Book, Passport, certificates).

- Verify the authenticity of original documents

- Ensure applicant’s information and documents are valid and updated in the system.

- Perform background checks, reference checks on candidates' work experience.

- Provide updates on recruitment progress both to applicants and Crewing.

- Coordinate Interviews with PIC, Vessel managers, Clients

- Actively manage all Crew requests.

- Build an active pool of candidates in Crewmatch through various networking and recruitment efforts.

- Share insights on recruitment industry practices, trends, and other benchmarking data to make the Company more competitive and preferred employer by seafarers.

- Participate in various industry activities as approved by the Company to expand applicant sources.





- Connect with various institutions as approved by the Company to expand applicant network e.g. training centres, maritime associations.

- Participate in local and global Employer Branding initiatives.

- Prepare reports to evaluate recruitment efforts.

- Suggest new approaches and processes to improve recruitment.

- Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate leader.

AUTHORITY

- The Recruitment Officer shall have authority as directed by the Recruitment Manager or immediate Manager to act in accordance with his/her responsibilities to ensure efficient operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES

- At least a graduate of any Bachelor’s degree; a degree related to Maritime / Shipping is an advantage.

- Experience in the field of recruitment for Indian Flag Vessels

- Experience in recruiting seafarers is an advantage

- Previous sailing experience is an advantage

- Good communication skills – written and verbal

- Good negotiation skills

- Able to generate reports and statistical analysis

Proficient in the use of Office Productivity tools

- Knowledge in using various online media for sourcing
