About the Role

Newscap is looking for an experienced AI Security Engineer to join the GSD Security Team. The role involves securing the complete AI and Machine Learning lifecycle, including AI systems, models, infrastructure, applications, and data.

You will play a key role in securing enterprise AI environments, protecting AI infrastructure, and implementing security controls for Generative AI and LLM-based applications. The role will involve working with Google Cloud technologies such as Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise, GKE, and Google Cloud AI Security capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

AI/ML Pipeline Security

- Design and implement security controls across AI/ML pipelines.
- Secure data ingestion, model training, validation, deployment, and inference workflows.
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of AI models and datasets.

Gemini Enterprise Security & Governance

- Define and implement enterprise security baselines for Gemini Enterprise.
- Configure IAM, administrative policies, and governance controls.
- Implement Cloud DLP strategies to protect sensitive data.
- Conduct security reviews and compliance assessments.

AI Threat Modeling & Security Assessment

- Perform threat modeling for AI infrastructure and LLM applications.
- Identify and mitigate risks including Prompt Injection,



Model Theft, Data Poisoning, Model Inversion, Unauthorized Data Access, and Data Leakage/Exfiltration.

Adversarial Machine Learning

- Implement adversarial ML defenses in collaboration with Data Science and Engineering teams.
- Secure enterprise Agentic AI architectures, including Agent Gateway and Agent Registry.
- Implement privacy-preserving AI techniques and secure model deployment strategies.

AI Security Operations

- Develop AI security monitoring and detection strategies.
- Integrate Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise logs with Security Command Center Enterprise.
- Build AI-specific monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities.

Technical Leadership

- Provide security architecture guidance for enterprise AI solutions.
- Conduct technical workshops and training on secure AI development.
- Communicate AI security risks and mitigation strategies to technical and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- 6–7 years of experience in Cybersecurity or Security Engineering.
- Hands-on experience securing AI/ML platforms and cloud-native AI services.




- Strong experience with GCP, Vertex AI, and GKE.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycle security and model protection.
- Experience with adversarial machine learning and AI threat mitigation.
- Knowledge of IAM, encryption, secrets management, and cloud security best practices.
- Understanding of data privacy and securing large-scale training datasets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer Certification.
- Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer Certification.
- Experience securing Generative AI and LLM applications in production.
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS, or NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
- Experience with AI security assessments, red teaming, and AI governance.
- Familiarity with MLOps security and secure CI/CD pipelines.
