About the Role

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting and administrative financial work for our electrical distribution business in Siliguri.

The candidate must have hands-on experience with Tally Prime and MS Office, particularly Excel, and should be comfortable independently handling routine accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain day-to-day accounts and records in Tally Prime

* Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments and journal entries

* Prepare sales and purchase invoices

* Maintain customer and supplier ledgers

* Manage accounts receivable and payable

* Track outstanding payments and receipts

* Perform bank reconciliation and maintain bank records

* Maintain proper accounting documentation and records

* Prepare basic reports and MIS using MS Excel

* Assist with GST-related accounting, documentation and data when required

* Handle general office documentation and other accounting-related tasks

Requirements





* 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred

* Strong hands-on knowledge of Tally Prime – mandatory

* Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel – mandatory

* Basic understanding of GST and accounting principles

* Experience in a trading/distribution business will be an advantage

* Good numerical and analytical skills

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy

* Ability to work independently and maintain organised records

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in electrical, hardware, FMCG, consumer durables or other trading/distribution businesses will be preferred.
