Job Title: Technician – Fitter

Job Summary

The Technician – Fitter is responsible for carrying out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of production equipment and utility systems in the API pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role ensures smooth operation of plant machinery while complying with GMP, EHS, and engineering standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical Maintenance

- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of production equipment.
- Install, assemble, dismantle, repair, and overhaul mechanical equipment.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to identify faults and rectify issues.
- Replace worn-out parts such as bearings, seals, gaskets, couplings, belts, and valves.
- Carry out alignment, lubrication, tightening, and routine maintenance activities.

Equipment Maintenance

Maintain and support the following equipment:

- Reactors
- Centrifuges
- Vacuum Tray Dryer (VTD)
- Sparkler Filters
- Vacuum Pumps
- Heat Exchangers
- Storage Tanks
- Gearboxes
- Transfer Pumps
- Mechanical Seals
- Pipelines and Valves

Utility Support

- Assist in the maintenance of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, HVAC systems,



vacuum systems, and water treatment systems (RO/DM/Soft Water).

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain maintenance records, equipment logbooks, and job completion reports.
- Follow SOPs, GMP, safety procedures, and engineering practices.
- Comply with Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and PPE requirements.
- Report equipment abnormalities and maintenance requirements to the Maintenance Engineer.

Qualification

- ITI – Fitter (Mandatory)

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in API, pharmaceutical, chemical, or process industries.
- Experience in the maintenance of pharmaceutical process equipment is preferred.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and fitting practices.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of bearings, pumps, gearboxes, valves, and piping systems.
- Understanding of GMP, EHS, and safe maintenance practices.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in rotational shifts.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
