Job Purpose

The Plant Manager will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the meat processing plant, ensuring smooth production operations, product quality, food safety, hygiene, manpower utilization, cost control, inventory management, maintenance, and timely dispatch.

The role requires strong leadership and hands-on experience in meat processing, poultry/meat manufacturing, FMCG, food production, QSR supply chain, or a similar food-processing environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Plant Operations

- Manage day-to-day operations of the meat processing plant from raw material receiving to finished-product dispatch.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per daily, weekly, and monthly plans.
- Monitor processing, cutting, deboning, trimming, packing, chilling/freezing, and dispatch operations.
- Ensure smooth coordination between production, quality, stores, maintenance, and dispatch teams.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Improve productivity, process efficiency, and overall plant performance.

Experience:

- Typically 5–10+ years of experience in meat processing, poultry processing, food manufacturing, FMCG, QSR production, or a similar industry.
- Prior experience managing a processing plant or large production facility is preferred.
- Experience in chilled/frozen meat processing will be an added advantage.

Authority & Accountability

The Plant Manager will have overall operational responsibility for the plant and will be accountable for achieving production targets while maintaining food safety, product quality, employee safety, yield, cost efficiency, hygiene, and timely dispatch.

The position is expected to coordinate closely with Management, HR, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Sales, Logistics, and Finance to ensure the plant operates efficiently and supports the company's business requirements.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on plant operations professional with solid experience in meat or food processing. The candidate should be capable of managing people, production, quality, hygiene, machinery, inventory, yield, costs, and dispatch while maintaining high standards of food safety and operational discipline.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
