Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates, infants, children and adolescents as per their clinical requirements.
- Assess and continuously monitor vital signs, pain, hydration, intake-output and overall clinical condition of paediatric patients.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, injections and other treatments accurately as prescribed by the paediatrician.
- Calculate and administer weight-based medication dosages with appropriate safety checks.
- Assist doctors during clinical examinations, procedures and emergency interventions.
- Maintain strict infection prevention and control practices, including hand hygiene and appropriate use of PPE.
- Monitor patients for deterioration and promptly report abnormal findings or changes in clinical condition.
- Provide appropriate care for fever, respiratory distress, dehydration, seizures and other common paediatric conditions.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation, including vital signs, medication administration, nursing notes and intake-output records.
- Educate parents/attendants regarding medication, feeding, hygiene, treatment plan and discharge instructions.
- Ensure proper identification of patients before medication administration, procedures and specimen collection.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety and readiness of the paediatric unit,



equipment and emergency supplies.
- Assist in maintaining and checking paediatric emergency equipment, including oxygen and resuscitation equipment.
- Follow hospital policies, nursing protocols, medication safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality, professional conduct and respectful communication with children, parents and all members of the healthcare team.

Qualification & Experience

- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution
- Valid Nursing Council registration
- Relevant experience in Paediatric Nursing preferred
- Knowledge of BLS/Paediatric Emergency Care preferred
