Job Purpose
We are looking for a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) – Purchase to support our procurement team in sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers and carrying out day-to-day purchase activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the purchase team in procurement of components, raw materials and bought-out items.
- Assist in obtaining quotations and preparing comparative statements.
- Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, order status and delivery schedules.
- Support preparation and follow-up of purchase orders.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality and Finance teams.
- Assist in vendor development and supplier evaluation.
- Maintain purchase records and relevant documentation.
- Track material requirements and support timely availability.
- Learn procurement processes, commercial practices and ERP systems.
- Support the team in resolving routine supplier and delivery-related issues.
Skills Required
- Positive understanding of basic Mechanical Engineering concepts.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
- Willingness to learn procurement and supplier management processes.
- Good command of English.
- Kannada knowledge will be an advantage
Qualification
BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred
- Fresh graduates with an interest in Purchase / Procurement / Supply Chain.
- Candidates with internship or project exposure to manufacturing or procurement will be an advantage.
