Consultant – Ecommerce Architect

Location: Chennai

Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 Days WFO

Experience: 15+ Years

Key Responsibilities

- Define and lead enterprise-scale eCommerce architecture and digital commerce solutions.
- Design scalable and future-ready eCommerce architectures aligned with business objectives.
- Architect Headless Commerce, Composable Commerce, and API-first solutions.
- Evaluate and design solutions using platforms such as HCL Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), and Adobe Commerce.
- Design modern web architectures using Next.js, React.js, Medusa, and related technologies.
- Define integration architecture across the complete digital commerce ecosystem.
- Integrate commerce platforms with ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, DAM, CDP, payment, tax, search, pricing, loyalty, marketing, logistics, and analytics platforms.
- Design solutions using microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, cloud, and distributed systems.
- Prepare architecture documentation, technical specifications, and solution designs.
- Provide technical leadership and guide development and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and technology teams to define effective solutions.
- Ensure architecture follows scalability, security,



performance, and enterprise technology standards.

Required Skills

- 15+ years of overall IT experience with significant experience in Enterprise Architecture and Digital Commerce.
- Strong experience in eCommerce architecture and enterprise-scale commerce implementations.
- Hands-on or architectural experience with HCL Commerce, SFCC, and/or Adobe Commerce.
- Strong understanding of Headless Commerce and Composable Commerce.
- Strong knowledge of API-first architectures.
- Good knowledge of Next.js, React.js, and Medusa.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end digital commerce ecosystem.
- Experience integrating commerce platforms with enterprise systems and third-party platforms.
- Solid knowledge of microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, cloud, and distributed systems.
- Excellent architecture documentation and technical communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership capabilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
