Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Engineer to design, develop, and implement robust firmware solutions for CastNX products. This role combines hands-on technical development with team mentoring, system-level engineering, and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in embedded systems, communication protocols, and real-time firmware development, with a focus on the TI C2000 platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Define firmware specifications, develop system architecture, and write robust, maintainable embedded software.
* Design and develop firmware primarily for the **TI C2000** family of microcontrollers and DSPs.
- Develop and integrate firmware for communication interfaces such as UART, I2C, and SPI.
- Implement and troubleshoot advanced communication protocols, including Ethernet, CAN, and EtherCAT.
- Support the design and development of communication-related hardware modules, including UART, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, EtherCAT, and CAN.
- Design and implement embedded systems using Embedded C.
- Select and specify microprocessors/microcontrollers and supporting hardware based on system requirements.
- Participate in subsystem- and system-level design verification, testing, validation, and planning.
- Work closely with hardware, power electronics, and control teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Guide and support team members in resolving technical challenges and implementing effective engineering solutions.
- Support the production implementation, commissioning, debugging, and maintenance of DSP-based firmware.
- Contribute to design reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement of firmware development processes.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in embedded systems development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related disciplines (EE/EEE/EC/EI).
- Solid hands-on experience in Embedded C programming.
- Practical experience with communication protocols, including I2C, SPI, MODBUS, RS-232, RS-485, CAN, Ethernet, and EtherCAT.
* Experience developing **real-time and interrupt-driven embedded systems**.
- Familiarity with emulators, debuggers, IDEs, and other embedded development and testing tools.
* Good understanding of **digital and analog circuit design**.
- Proficiency in software analysis, debugging, and development tools, along with working knowledge of MS Office.
* Prior experience in applications such as **Data Acquisition (DAQ), HMI, motor drive control, and industrial communication systems** is preferred.

- Ability to work effectively across hardware, firmware, controls, and system engineering teams.
