- Responsible for monitoring and controlling product quality during the manufacturing process.
- Conduct in-process quality inspections for products manufactured on LSR Injection Moulding Machines, ISBM Machines, Injection Moulding Machines, Blow Moulding Machines, and other production machinery.
- Ensure products are manufactured as per approved specifications, quality standards, drawings, samples, and process parameters.
- Monitor machine-wise and process-wise quality during production.
- Identify defects at the earliest stage and coordinate with Production and Machine Operators for corrective action.
- Ensure proper segregation and identification of rejected, rework, and approved products.
- Conduct IQC, IPQC, FPA, and Final Inspection activities as required.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, rejection reports, and other quality-related documentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
IN-PROCESS QUALITY CONTROL (IPQC)
- Perform regular in-process inspections of products during production.
- Monitor quality of products manufactured through LSR Injection Moulding, ISBM, Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, Assembly, and other manufacturing processes.
- Conduct machine-wise and process-wise quality checks as per approved inspection standards.
- Check product dimensions, weight, appearance, colour, functionality, workmanship, and other critical quality parameters.
- Verify product quality against approved samples, drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Ensure First Piece Approval is completed before starting regular production.
- Conduct periodic inspections during production to ensure consistent product quality.
- Identify quality deviations and immediately communicate them to the Production Supervisor or HOD.
- Stop or hold production where serious quality issues are identified, as per company procedures.
- Ensure corrective action is taken for quality defects and process deviations.
- Monitor rejection, rework, and process-related defects during production.
LSR INJECTION MOULDING QUALITY CONTROL
- Monitor the quality of silicone products manufactured through LSR Injection Moulding Machines.
- Inspect products for defects such as Flash, Short Moulding, Air Bubbles, Black Spots, Colour Variation, Deformation, Surface Defects, and other moulding defects.
- Check product weight, dimensions, appearance, and functionality as per approved specifications.
- Monitor critical process parameters and report deviations to the Production Team.
- Ensure proper product curing and moulding quality.
- Check moulding consistency throughout the production cycle.
- Coordinate with Machine Operators and Production Teams to control recurring defects.
- Maintain machine-wise rejection and quality issue records.
ISBM MACHINE QUALITY CONTROL
- Conduct in-process quality inspection of products manufactured through ISBM Machines.
- Check bottle and container quality as per approved specifications and standards.
- Inspect dimensions, weight, wall thickness, appearance, neck finish, shape, and other critical parameters.
- Check for defects such as Deformation, Black Spots, Scratches, Short Moulding, Uneven Thickness, Leakage, and other visual or dimensional defects.
- Conduct leakage and functional testing wherever applicable.
- Monitor product quality during continuous production.
- Identify machine-related or process-related quality issues and immediately inform the Production Team.
- Maintain machine-wise inspection and rejection records.
INJECTION MOULDING QUALITY CONTROL
- Conduct in-process inspection of products manufactured through Injection Moulding Machines.
- Check product dimensions, weight, appearance, colour, and functionality as per approved specifications.
- Inspect products for Flash, Short Moulding, Sink Marks, Warpage, Black Spots, Weld Lines, Colour Variation, Burn Marks, and other moulding defects.
- Monitor product quality during continuous production.
- Identify machine and process-related quality issues and communicate them to the Production Team.
- Coordinate with Machine Operators to control recurring defects.
- Maintain machine-wise inspection and rejection records.
BLOW MOULDING MACHINE QUALITY CONTROL
- Conduct in-process quality inspection of products manufactured through Blow Moulding Machines.
- Check product dimensions, weight, wall thickness, appearance, shape, neck finish, and overall workmanship as per approved specifications.
- Inspect products for defects such as Deformation, Black Spots, Scratches, Uneven Wall Thickness, Short Moulding, Flash, Leakage, Poor Surface Finish, and other moulding defects.
- Conduct leakage and functional testing wherever applicable.
- Monitor product quality during continuous production.
- Identify machine-related and process-related quality issues and immediately inform the Production Team.
- Coordinate with Machine Operators to control and reduce recurring defects.
- Maintain machine-wise inspection, rejection, and quality records.
BOM (BILL OF MATERIALS) VERIFICATION
- Verify BOM requirements for plastic and silicone products.
- Ensure correct raw materials, components, colours, and quantities are used as per approved BOM.
- Cross-check BOM with production and assembly requirements.
- Identify mismatches between approved BOM and actual materials used.
- Coordinate with Production, R&D;, Stores, and other departments for BOM-related discrepancies.
- Maintain records of BOM changes and revisions.
FPA – FINAL PRODUCT APPROVAL
- Conduct Final Product Approval (FPA) before products are released for packing or dispatch.
- Inspect finished products according to approved specifications and quality standards.
- Verify product appearance, dimensions, functionality, colour, weight, and overall workmanship.
- Ensure products meet customer and internal quality requirements.
- Approve or reject finished products based on inspection results.
- Maintain FPA reports and inspection records.
PRODUCT QUALITY INSPECTION
- Perform visual, dimensional, functional, and weight inspection of plastic and silicone products.
- Check products for Flash, Short Moulding, Sink Marks, Warpage, Black Spots, Colour Variation, Air Bubbles, Scratches, Surface Defects, Deformation, Improper Assembly, Dimensional Variation, Leakage,
and Functional Failure.
- Ensure defective products are properly identified, segregated, and recorded.
- Ensure only approved products are transferred to the next process.
- Verify that reworked products are inspected and approved before further processing.
QUALITY DOCUMENTATION
- Prepare and maintain IPQC Reports, Inspection Reports, FPA Reports, Rejection Reports, NCR Reports, and other quality documents.
- Maintain machine-wise and process-wise inspection records.
- Maintain records of rejected, reworked, and approved products.
- Record quality defects and rejection data on a daily basis.
- Prepare daily and monthly quality reports as required.
- Maintain product inspection check sheets and quality records.
NON-CONFORMANCE & CORRECTIVE ACTION
- Identify and report non-conforming products and processes.
- Raise NCR (Non-Conformance Report) wherever required.
- Immediately communicate critical quality issues to the Production Supervisor and Quality HOD.
- Coordinate with Production and Machine Operators to identify the root cause of defects.
- Support corrective and preventive actions for recurring quality problems.
- Follow up on corrective actions and verify their effectiveness.
- Monitor recurring defects and recommend process improvements.
COORDINATION WITH PRODUCTION & MACHINE OPERATORS
- Work closely with Production Supervisors, Machine Operators, and Production HODs to maintain product quality.
- Communicate quality defects and process deviations immediately.
- Provide feedback to Machine Operators regarding quality issues.
- Support Production in reducing rejection, scrap, and rework.
- Ensure approved quality parameters are maintained during production.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Tool Room Teams where machine or mould-related issues affect product quality.
5S & QUALITY SYSTEM COMPLIANCE
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the QC inspection area.
- Follow 5S practices and workplace discipline.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of measuring and inspection instruments.
- Follow company SOPs, quality procedures, inspection standards, and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and customer requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of Plastic and Silicone Product Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of LSR Injection Moulding and Silicone Product Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ISBM Machines and Plastic Bottle Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Injection Moulding and Blow Moulding Processes.
- Knowledge of IQC, IPQC, FPA, and Final Inspection Processes.
- Ability to identify common plastic and silicone moulding defects.
- Ability to perform machine-wise and process-wise quality inspections.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Weighing Scale, Height Gauge, and other inspection tools.
- Understanding of BOM and product specifications.
- Valuable documentation and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Good observation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Machine Operators, Stores, Maintenance, and other departments.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
