About the Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to manage the maintenance, troubleshooting and upkeep of mechanical equipment and machinery at our FMCG manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a production setting and be comfortable working on preventive, breakdown and corrective maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and ensure minimum production downtime.
- Maintain and service equipment such as conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, mixers, filling/packing machines and other production machinery.
- Conduct regular inspection of machines and identify potential mechanical issues before breakdowns occur.
- Maintain maintenance schedules, checklists, breakdown records and equipment history.
- Coordinate with the Production team to plan maintenance activities without affecting production schedules.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, tightening and replacement of mechanical components.
- Handle installation, commissioning and modification of machinery and equipment.
- Maintain adequate inventory of critical mechanical spares and coordinate with stores/purchase for timely availability.
- Supervise technicians and maintenance workers during repair and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with plant safety,



hygiene and food-safety requirements.
- Support audits and compliance requirements related to GMP, HACCP, BRCGS and other food manufacturing standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve machine efficiency, reliability and maintenance costs.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and report recurring breakdowns to the management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in FMCG, food processing, beverage, packaging or manufacturing industries.
- Good practical knowledge of mechanical maintenance and industrial machinery.
- Experience with bearings, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatic systems, conveyors, chains, belts, shafts and mechanical drives.
- Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with production and other departments.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and maintenance documentation.
- Willingness to work in shifts and attend breakdowns when required.

Preferred

- Experience in a food/FMCG manufacturing plant will be preferred.
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, BRCGS and food-safety practices will be an advantage.
- Experience handling maintenance teams and external contractors will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹12,184.72 - ₹45,000.00 per month
