Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Calibration Technician to perform calibration, inspection, testing, and maintenance of measuring and testing instruments used in shipbuilding and industrial operations. The candidate will ensure that all equipment is accurate, properly maintained, traceable, and compliant with applicable quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform calibration and verification of measuring and testing instruments.
- Inspect instruments for accuracy, damage, and proper functioning.
- Maintain calibration schedules and ensure timely calibration of all equipment.
- Prepare and maintain calibration certificates, records, and reports.
- Update and maintain the Calibration Master List/Register.
- Ensure traceability of instruments to approved national or international standards.
- Identify, label, and quarantine expired or out-of-calibration instruments.
- Coordinate with approved external calibration laboratories when required.
- Calibrate and maintain equipment such as:
- Pressure gauges
- Temperature gauges and thermometers
- Vernier calipers and micrometers
- Measuring tapes and dimensional instruments
- Torque wrenches
- Multimeters and electrical testing equipment
- Welding inspection instruments
- Alignment and leveling instruments
- Support QA/QC inspections and internal/external audits.
- Follow company quality, safety, and ISO procedures.




- Report calibration discrepancies and equipment failures to the Calibration Engineer/QA Manager.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safe handling of calibration equipment.

Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant certification or training in Calibration and Metrology is preferred.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in calibration, instrumentation, QA/QC, manufacturing, marine, shipbuilding, oil & gas, or heavy engineering.
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and calibration knowledge may also be considered.

Skills Required

- Hands-on knowledge of calibration instruments and procedures.
- Knowledge of measuring and testing equipment.
- Understanding of calibration certificates and traceability.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO 17025 standards.
- Valuable documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in shipyards, marine engineering, oil & gas, heavy fabrication, manufacturing, or calibration laboratories will be preferred.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
