About the Role

We are looking for a creative and experienced Video Editing Mentor to join our team in Calicut/Kozhikode. The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of practical experience in video editing and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

The candidate will be responsible for training students in professional video editing, guiding them through practical projects, and helping them develop industry-ready skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct practical and interactive video editing training sessions.
- Mentor students and help them develop professional editing skills.
- Teach video editing using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Explain video editing concepts including cutting, transitions, audio editing, color correction, subtitles, effects, and storytelling.
- Train students in creating YouTube videos, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, advertisements, promotional videos, and educational content.
- Provide hands-on guidance through live projects and assignments.
- Review students' work and provide constructive feedback.
- Help students build professional portfolios and industry-ready projects.
- Stay updated with the latest video editing techniques, tools, and social media trends.
- Support students with career guidance and practical industry knowledge.

Requirements

- 1–2 years of professional experience in video editing.




- Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and preferably After Effects / DaVinci Resolve.
- Positive understanding of motion graphics, color correction, audio editing, transitions, and visual storytelling.
- Experience creating short-form and long-form video content.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping students learn.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and practical way.
- A portfolio or sample work is required.
- Previous training or mentoring experience will be an advantage.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of social media content creation.
- Experience with Reels, Shorts, YouTube videos, and promotional content.
- Basic graphic design and motion graphics knowledge.
- Understanding of current video content trends.
- Ability to guide students in creating professional portfolios.
