Position Overview

We are looking for Mechanical Designers with minimum 5 years of deep technical experience in heavy mechanical system design along with strong analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate must be capable of handling both design + engineering validation (FEA/CFD/dynamics) independently.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end mechanical design and engineering of complex systems
- Design and develop:
- Heavy steel fabricated structures
- Gearboxes (Planetary & Helical)
- Drive shafts, couplings, and drivetrain systems
- Turbines and rotating equipment
- Floating platforms, pontoons, and hydro structures
- Jack assemblies, lead screw systems, and lifting mechanisms
- Prepare 3D models, manufacturing drawings, GD&T;, and BOMs using SOLIDWORKS or equivalent
- Perform engineering calculations and design validation

Advanced Engineering & Analysis (Mandatory)

- Perform detailed:
- Stress & Strain Analysis
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Agile & Vibration Analysis
- Fatigue & Failure Analysis
- Modal Analysis for rotating systems
- Use tools such as ANSYS (Mechanical/Fluent), or equivalent simulation software
- Validate designs under real-life loading conditions, fluid interaction,



and operational stresses
- Optimize designs based on analysis outputs for performance, safety, and cost efficiency

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical design & engineering analysis
- Strong expertise in:
- SOLIDWORKS (preferred) or similar CAD tools (Creo, CATIA, Inventor)
- ANSYS or equivalent simulation tools (FEA/CFD)
- Proven experience in:
- Structural and heavy fabrication design
- Gearbox and drivetrain systems
- Rotating equipment and turbine systems
- Strong understanding of material science, failure mechanisms, and load conditions
- Practical exposure to manufacturing, fabrication, machining, and assembly
- Ability to independently handle complex, custom-engineered systems

Preferred Qualifications

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in hydropower, marine structures, or renewable energy systems
- Exposure to fluid-structure interaction (FSI) and hydro-dynamic systems
- Experience in site support, installation, and commissioning
