About the Role

We are looking for a recent Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) graduate to join our Mumbai team as a Junior Architect.

The role combines architectural drafting and working drawings in AutoCAD with building energy modeling and analysis for residential and commercial projects in the United States.

A major part of your role will involve developing complete and detailed working-drawing packages for residential, retail, and commercial projects, including site plans, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), architectural details, and coordinated MEP drawings.

You will also be trained to analyze buildings using specialized energy-modeling software and evaluate ways to improve their energy efficiency.

This is a technical, desk-based role with no site visits. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working with drawings, solving technical problems, paying attention to small details, and developing expertise in the technical side of architecture and building performance.

Strong AutoCAD skills are particularly important for this position.

Key ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Drafting & Working Drawings

- Prepare detailed architectural working drawings using AutoCAD for residential and commercial projects in the USA.
- Work on complete drawing packages for commercial and retail projects, starting from site plans and developing floor plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), elevations, architectural details, and coordinated MEP drawings.
- Ensure architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings are properly coordinated and accurately reflect project requirements.
- Review architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and project specifications.
- Develop and modify drawings based on project requirements and internal markups.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, properly coordinated, clearly documented, and meet established drafting standards.
- Review plans carefully to identify missing, inconsistent, or conflicting information.
- Coordinate drawing updates and revisions across different project versions.
- Maintain organized project drawings, files, and documentation.

Building Energy Modeling & Analysis

- Review architectural and building-system drawings to identify information affecting building energy performance.
- Develop building energy models for residential and commercial projects using specialized energy-analysis software.




- Analyze building components including:
- Walls, roofs, floors, windows, and other building-envelope components
- HVAC systems
- Lighting systems
- Domestic hot-water systems
- Other building systems affecting energy performance
- Run energy simulations and compare different design alternatives.
- Help identify practical ways of improving the energy efficiency of buildings.
- Prepare energy-compliance documentation, technical specifications, and supporting reports.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)
- Recent graduates and candidates with 1-3 years of experience are encouraged to apply
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
- Candidates must currently reside in Mumbai

Preferred Skills

The following are helpful but not mandatory:

- Experience preparing architectural working drawings
- Exposure to residential, retail, or commercial construction drawings
- Experience working with floor plans, RCPs, elevations, details, or MEP-coordinated drawing sets
- Knowledge of SketchUp
- Familiarity with building services such as HVAC, lighting, plumbing, or electrical systems
- Interest in sustainable architecture, green buildings, building science, or energy-efficient design




- Previous exposure to international or US architectural projects

Prior experience with energy modeling is not required. Training will be provided.
