Key Responsibilities:

- Cost Estimation and Management:QS Engineers estimate project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment, and develop budgets. They monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and managing potential cost overruns.
- Contract Management:They manage contracts, including preparing tender documents, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Quantity Surveying:QS Engineers measure, calculate, and record quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for a project.



They may also prepare bills of quantities (BOQ) for tendering purposes.
- Financial Reporting:They prepare financial reports, including cost forecasts, progress reports, and reconciliations.
- Value Engineering:They may analyze project costs and propose cost-effective solutions while maintaining project quality.
- Dispute Resolution: QS Engineers may be involved in resolving disputes related to cost, quantities, or contract terms.
- Collaboration: They work closely with other project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
