Job Purpose

The Internal Audit Executive is responsible for conducting internal audits across hospital/medical operations to ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, effective internal controls, and proper utilization of organizational resources. The role involves identifying risks, detecting control weaknesses, preventing revenue leakage and fraud, and recommending improvements to management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial & Accounting Audit

- Review financial transactions, vouchers, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Verify cash collections, bank deposits, and reconciliation statements.
- Check accounts payable, receivables, expenses, and supporting documents.
- Identify accounting errors, irregularities, and potential financial risks.
- Review revenue recognition and ensure transactions are properly recorded.

2. Hospital Billing & Revenue Audit

- Audit patient billing, including OPD, IPD, emergency, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and other services.
- Verify discounts, refunds, cancellations, write-offs, and credit bills.
- Identify billing errors, missed charges, duplicate entries, and revenue leakage.
- Reconcile hospital billing system reports with accounting records and collections.
- Review insurance/TPA claims and identify discrepancies.

3. Pharmacy & Medical Inventory Audit

- Verify purchases, stock receipts, issues, returns, and consumption of medicines and medical supplies.
- Conduct periodic physical verification of pharmacy and medical inventory.
- Identify expired, damaged, slow-moving, or excess stock.
- Check stock adjustments and investigate significant variances.




- Review controls over high-value medicines and medical consumables.

4. Procurement & Vendor Audit

- Review purchase orders, quotations, invoices, approvals, and vendor payments.
- Verify compliance with procurement policies and authorization limits.
- Check vendor selection and purchasing processes for transparency.
- Identify unusual pricing, duplicate payments, or unauthorized purchases.

5. Operational & Compliance Audit

- Conduct audits of hospital departments and support functions.
- Evaluate compliance with internal policies, SOPs, and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Review authorization and approval processes.
- Assess segregation of duties and access controls.
- Identify operational risks and recommend corrective actions.

6. Cash & Collection Audit

- Verify daily cash collections from OPD, IPD, pharmacy, diagnostics, and other departments.
- Conduct surprise cash counts where required.
- Review cash handling procedures and deposit timelines.
- Investigate cash shortages, excesses, and unusual transactions.

7. Audit Reporting & Follow-up

- Prepare audit observations, working papers, and audit reports.
- Communicate findings to department heads and management.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Track implementation of audit recommendations.
- Conduct follow-up audits to ensure identified issues are resolved.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
