The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automotive service, electric vehicle technologies, and a proven track record in managing service operations. This role will focus on overseeing the service department, driving operational excellence, and leading the team towards continuous improvement and high customer satisfaction. The Service Head will also collaborate closely with R&D; and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues, improve vehicle performance, and ensure the seamless execution of services. Key Responsibilities: Service Management: • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring services are delivered with high quality and efficiency. • Lead, inspire, and manage the service team to achieve high performance, productivity, and continuous development. • Develop and implement service strategies aligned with product launches,
customer satisfaction, and operational improvements. • Establish strong relationships with dealers, franchise owners, and other stakeholders, ensuring high service standards. • Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Training & Development: • Design and execute comprehensive training programs for service technicians, focusing on hands-on learning and technical documentation. • Develop service manuals, SOPs, and training materials for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electric two-wheelers. • Conduct training sessions on diagnostics, repairs, and assembly/disassembly of electric vehicle components. • Create and manage a repository of training resources, service tools, and operational procedures to ensure consistent service quality. Technical Support & Issue Resolution: • Provide technical support to the service team, assisting with troubleshooting complex service issues and ensuring timely resolution. • Work closely with R&D; and manufacturing teams to address service-related challenges and integrate product improvements into service protocols. • Oversee warranty claim processing and ensure compliance with company policies. • Monitor vehicle performance during field tests and provide feedback to R&D; for continuous product enhancements. Service Execution: • Ensure high-quality maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of electric two-wheelers,
including motors, battery packs, wiring, and control systems. • Perform pre-delivery inspections and ensure all services comply with company standards. • Assemble, disassemble, and replace vehicle components as necessary to meet service requirements. • Ensure adherence to safety standards, best practices, and proper service techniques during service delivery. Quality Assurance & Compliance: • Enforce strict compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry best practices. • Conduct regular quality checks on service activities to ensure adherence to SOPs and highquality service delivery. • Manage spare parts division, including inventory management, process development, and ensuring the timely availability of required parts. Qualifications: Service Head / Senior Service Manager: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. • 7+ years of experience in electric two-wheeler or automotive service, with proven leadership and team management skills. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. • Expertise in electric vehicle components, systems, and service operations. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders. • Ability to create and implement training programs for technical staff, with a focus on handson learning and operational efficiency. • Proven track record in achieving customer satisfaction, improving service operations, and leading service teams towards excellence.
