Role Overview

The Collection Officer will be responsible for following up with customers to recover overdue payments through multiple communication channels, ensuring timely collections while maintaining positive customer relationships. This role requires strong communication skills, persistence, and the ability to handle sensitive payment-related discussions professionally.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Contact customers via phone calls, WhatsApp, emails, and field visits to follow up on overdue payments.
- Ensure timely recovery of outstanding dues in line with assigned daily and monthly collection targets.
- Follow up on pending payments consistently and negotiate feasible payment schedules when required.
- Clearly explain outstanding balances, due dates, penalties, or interest charges to customers.
- Handle customer queries, objections, and concerns in a polite, professional, and solution-oriented manner.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, follow-ups, commitments, and payment status in internal systems.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships while ensuring effective and ethical recovery.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as accounts, operations, and support to resolve payment-related issues.
- Escalate long-pending, disputed,



or high-risk cases to seniors as per defined processes.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, compliance standards, and ethical collection practices at all times.

Candidate Requirements

- Any graduate; education in Commerce or Finance is an added advantage.
- 0–3 years of experience in collections, payment follow-ups, or customer-facing finance roles.
- Strong verbal communication skills in Tamil, Telugu, English, and Hindi.
- Comfortable speaking with customers regarding payments and commitments.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and record maintenance.
- Willingness to travel locally for field visits, if required.
- Target-driven, disciplined, and capable of handling pressure professionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
