About the Role

We are looking for a creative and experienced Punjabi Video Editor & Social Media Content Creator to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone who understands Punjabi language, Punjabi culture, social-media trends and modern video editing.

You will be responsible for editing long-form podcasts, creating engaging reels and short videos, designing social-media content, writing captions and publishing content across our social-media platforms.

We are looking for someone who does more than simply cut videos.

You should be able to identify the best moments from a podcast, turn them into engaging reels, create strong hooks, add captions and graphics, select suitable music and B-roll, and help make our content look professional and engaging.

Key ResponsibilitiesPodcast Video Editing

- Edit full-length Punjabi podcast episodes.
- Work with multi-camera podcast footage.
- Synchronise video and audio.
- Remove mistakes, pauses and unnecessary sections.
- Improve pacing and overall presentation.
- Add professional intros and outros.
- Add guest names, titles and lower-thirds.
- Add relevant graphics, images, B-roll and animations.
- Improve audio quality where required.
- Colour-correct and enhance footage.
- Export qualified videos for YouTube and other platforms.

Reels, Shorts & Social Media Videos

- Watch long-form podcasts and identify the most interesting, emotional, educational, controversial or engaging moments.
- Convert podcast content into Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Create strong hooks within the first few seconds.
- Add professional Punjabi and/or English subtitles.
- Use zooms, cuts, graphics, sound effects, B-roll and transitions where appropriate.
- Create videos designed to increase retention, shares, comments and views.
- Keep up with current social-media video trends.
- Repurpose one podcast into multiple pieces of short-form content.

Social Media Management

- Upload and publish content across:
- YouTube
- Instagram
- Facebook
- YouTube Shorts
- Other relevant social-media platforms




- Write engaging captions and descriptions.
- Add relevant hashtags and keywords.
- Schedule posts at suitable times.
- Ensure content is posted consistently.
- Maintain correct branding across all platforms.
- Organise and manage the content calendar.
- Keep track of published and upcoming content.

Thumbnails & Graphics

- Create professional YouTube thumbnails.
- Create reel covers and social-media graphics.
- Use Canva, Photoshop or similar software.
- Maintain consistent branding across all content.

Content Research

- Research trending Punjabi topics and social-media trends.
- Monitor competitor and Punjabi media channels.
- Suggest ideas for reels, shorts and social content.
- Identify opportunities to improve engagement and reach.
- Suggest different ways to repurpose existing content.

Required Skills

The successful candidate should:

- Be fluent in Punjabi.
- Be able to understand spoken Punjabi extremely well.
- Have good written English.
- Have professional video-editing experience.
- Have experience editing reels, shorts and long-form videos.
- Understand YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
- Understand how to create attention-grabbing short videos.
- Know how to add qualified captions and subtitles.
- Have a good understanding of social-media trends.
- Be creative and able to work independently.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Be reliable and able to meet deadlines.

Editing Software

Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- DaVinci Resolve
- Final Cut Pro
- CapCut
- Canva
- Adobe Photoshop
- Envato Elements
- AI video and content-creation tools

Knowledge of AI-powered video-editing tools will be highly regarded.

We are particularly interested in someone who understands that good social-media editing is not simply adding subtitles to a video.

You should understand:

- What makes someone stop scrolling.




- How to create a strong opening hook.
- Which sections of a podcast can become good reels.
- How to keep viewers watching.
- How to use captions, B-roll, zooms and graphics without over-editing.
- How different content performs on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
- How to turn one long podcast into many pieces of useful content.

Salary
