EXST Coffee Lab (exstcoffee.com) is a specialty coffee roaster in Okhla, Delhi-NCR, opening an experience center built around education and immersion — a space for tastings, omakase, guest-hosted events, and everything coffee. We source coffees with care, roast to honor the integrity of every bean, and work with coffees from across India and the world. We believe that the best experiences lie beyond the familiar. The role
You'll run the bar - dialing in coffees, brewing using multiple methods, helping us with recipes, experimenting with coffees, and get hands-on training on the roasting side.
What you'll do
- Pull consistent espresso shots, steam milk to microfoam, and execute latte art
- Brew on manual methods — V60, AeroPress, and more — and dial in grind daily
- Guide guests through our coffees, explaining origins, flavor profiles, and brew techniques
- Develop and refine brew recipes alongside the team
- Get hands-on exposure to roasting — learning our profiles and working with us on the roaster over time
- Participate in cupping sessions and daily calibration
- Keep machines clean, stocked, and properly maintained
- Improve your skill and get opportunities to take part in competitions
What we're looking for
- 6 months to 1 year of barista experience in a café, hotel, or specialty coffee setup
- Working knowledge of espresso extraction, grind calibration, and milk texturing
- Familiarity with at least one manual brew method
- Basic sensory awareness — can identify over/under-extraction by taste
- Warm, hospitable manner; comfortable explaining coffee to curious guests
- Positive communication in English and Hindi
- Flexible with morning, evening, and weekend shifts
- SCA Foundation or Coffee Board certification is a plus, not required
