Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to manage procurement activities, supplier relationships and material availability for our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage procurement of raw materials, components, consumables and services.
- Source and develop suppliers based on quality, cost and delivery requirements.
- Obtain quotations, evaluate commercial terms and negotiate with suppliers.
- Release and monitor purchase orders.
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per production requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost and delivery.
- Develop alternate sources and support cost-reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality and Finance.
- Resolve supplier-related delivery, quality and commercial issues.
- Maintain purchase records and supplier documentation.
- Support improvement of procurement lead time and inventory levels.

Key Experience Required

- 10+ years of experience in Purchase / Procurement, preferably in manufacturing or heavy engineering.
- Mandatory experience in procurement of machined components, castings and forgings.




- Strong experience in vendor development and supplier management.
- Good negotiation and commercial evaluation skills.
- Understanding of procurement processes and supplier performance management.
- Experience with ERP systems and MS Office

Qualification

BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Industry Background

Candidates from Heavy Engineering, Manufacturing, Automotive, Industrial Equipment, Capital Goods or related industries will be preferred.

Language Proficiency

- English – Read, Write & Speak
- Kannada – Mandatory
- Hindi – Preferred
