In this role as an Application Engineer working within the Digital Human Health (DHH) area, you will be contributing to the development of an advanced data science application platform. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable forecasting applications using Python. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply best practices in code quality, testing, and version control. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team ceremonies to help identify and resolve technical issues across distributed systems and services.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain forecasting applications using Python- Contribute to building a cohesive decision-support platform for commercial forecasting- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and business analysts- Apply best practices in code quality, testing, version control, and CI/CD- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team ceremonies- Help identify and resolve technical issues across distributed systems and servicesQualifications Required:- Minimum Requirements: Engineering in Computer Science, post-graduates plus- Bachelor or Master in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field- 3 years of software development experience, preferably in enterprise or analytics applications- Proficient in Python development, with exposure to microservices, APIs, and data modeling- Familiarity with AWS Cloud Services and CI/CD tools- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teamsIn this position,
you will work towards gaining a solid understanding of the technical platform and forecasting product suite within the first 3 months. By 6 months, you will own development for specific modules or therapy areas within the product, design and deliver analytical and forecasting components in Python, and drive improvements in existing capabilities. Within 12 months, you will play an active role in product roadmap discussions, mentor junior developers, reassess code and architecture for performance gains, and engage with the wider dev community within the organization.Please note: No additional details about the company were provided in the job description.
