About Blaize
Blaize (Nasdaq: BZAI) builds a programmable AI platform for inference in real-world environments. At its core, the Blaize Graph Streaming Processor (GSP) is a purpose-built, energy-effective architecture for real-world AI inference, combined with GPU in a hybrid AI infrastructure that runs across the edge, cloud, and datacenter. Our platform powers computer vision, multimodal AI, and sensor-driven applications across smart cities, industrial automation, telecommunications, retail, logistics, healthcare, automotive, and defense.
Blaize is expanding from edge AI hardware into a full platform that combines its hardware systems with Blaize AI Services, the software and services layer that delivers deployable AI solutions for enterprises, governments, and cloud service providers worldwide. By combining differentiated computing architecture with scalable AI Services, we help organizations deploy intelligence where decisions matter most.

What You Will Do
- Own the Linux environment end to end: architecture, builds, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing improvement across Rocky Linux, RHEL, and Ubuntu platforms.
- Perform bare metal server builds and manage the full system lifecycle from provisioning through decommission.
- Design, build, and maintain automation using Ansible and scripting (Bash, Python, or equivalent) to reduce manual work and increase reliability and consistency.
- Manage and support high-performance computing and clustered environments.
- Administer and optimize storage infrastructure, with NetApp as the primary platform.
- Manage Linux networking: VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, bonding, and related configurations as they apply to the Linux environment.
- Support and extend the team's AWS footprint as it relates to Linux workloads and infrastructure.
- Write and maintain clear documentation for systems, processes, and runbooks. You will leave things better documented than you found them.
- Mentor junior and mid-level team members through hands-on guidance, knowledge sharing, and genuine investment in their development.
- Work closely with the Director of IT & Security and the broader global IT team to align on priorities, standards, and roadmap.
What We Are Looking For
Technical skills:
- Expert level Linux administration across Rocky Linux, RHEL, and Ubuntu, including bare metal builds and low-level system configuration.
- Deep, practical experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation at scale.
- Robust scripting skills: Bash at a minimum, Python strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with high performance or clustered computing environments.
- Solid NetApp storage experience: administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Experience with other enterprise storage platforms is a plus.
- Working knowledge of AWS, particularly as it applies to Linux infrastructure. You do not need to be an AWS architect, but you need to be capable and comfortable.
- Good working knowledge of networking concepts and Linux network configuration. This is not a networking role, but you need to understand the environment your systems live in.
- Familiarity with security principles and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOX, GDPR) as they apply to infrastructure.
How you work:
- You are a self-starter. You can walk into an unfamiliar environment, assess what is there,
identify what needs to change, and start making progress without needing someone to define every step.
- You communicate clearly and precisely in English, in writing and in person, with both technical and non-technical audiences across different cultural backgrounds.
- You document your work well and consistently, even when things are moving fast.
- You are comfortable in an environment where priorities shift and requirements are not always fully defined. You adapt without losing momentum.
- You genuinely enjoy mentoring others and take their growth seriously. You lead by example, share what you know, and make the people around you better.
- You bring a positive, professional energy to the team. You focus on solutions, not complaints, and you treat your colleagues with respect.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on Linux infrastructure experience in a senior capacity, in a high-tech or high-performance computing environment.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is strongly preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered where the depth and quality of experience is clear.
- Relevant certifications (RHCE, AWS, NetApp) are a plus but not required.
