Senior Buyer / SCM Specialist – Offshore Subcontracts

Location: Mumbai, India (In office)

Organization: Global Offshore EPC Leader

Key Responsibilities

- Package Sourcing & Subcontracts: Take complete ownership of end-to-end purchasing, package sourcing, and subcontracts administration for heavy EPC offshore ventures.
- Tendering & Evaluation: Structure comprehensive RFQs/RFPs; partner with Engineering, Quality Control, and Expediting divisions to drive thorough technical and commercial bid reviews.
- Commercial Closing & Terms: Steer complex vendor negotiations, establish clear scope demarcation, finalize contract terms, and secure cost optimization through active value engineering.
- Supplier Development: Build, screen, and retain a dependable vendor base; track supplier deliverables against target schedules, QA/QC standards, and contractual milestones.
- Execution & Delivery: Prevent operational delays by tracking package manufacturing progress and ensuring seamless, on-budget equipment delivery to fabrication sites.

- Automation & Control: DCS, ESD systems, PLCs, and SCADA infrastructure
- Mechanical & Piping: Industrial Valves, Piping Assemblies, and Heavy Mechanical Units
- Facility Utilities: HVAC Systems, Specialty Packages, and Non-Process Equipment

Candidate Prerequisites
- Industry Background: 5 to 15 years within SCM, sourcing, or subcontract handling in Offshore Energy, Petrochemical, Hydrocarbon, Refinery, or Industrial EPC sectors.
- Academic Criteria: Consistent First Class / First Division across all academic levels (10th, 12th, and Degree/Diploma). Must have an unbroken educational track record with zero academic gaps.
- Core Competencies: Strong command over commercial risk assessment, multi-vendor coordination, package expediting, and contract negotiation under strict project deadlines.
